A male rider in his 30s has been killed in an MVC on the R560 between Skeerpoort and Hekpoort. The crash occurred around 9 am on Saturday 4 May 2019. The rider T-boned an LDV and ended up under the vehicle, killing him instantly.
The vehicle had to be raised with a forklift to remove the rider and motorcycle. Netcare 911 paramedics were unable to do anything for the rider, who was declared dead on the scene.
