At 16:45 on Wednesday 17 July 2019, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the R82 Vereeniging in the direction of De Deur.
Reports from the scene indicate that a motorcycle and a light motor vehicle were involved in a collision.
Paramedics assessed the scene and found that the driver of the car, a 52-year-old female sustained critical injuries.
The woman was resuscitated by paramedics from Netcare 911 as well as another service however her condition rapidly deteriorated and she was sadly declared deceased on the scene.
The motorcyclist, an adult male believed to be in his 40s had sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on the scene.
All necessary authorities were present.
